A care companion for exotic keepers · Launching Autumn 2026

Every animal.
One home.

Menagerie keeps the living record of everything you keep — feedings, sheds, weights, sensor readings, even the moon phase and barometric pressure stamped on every log. From tegus to tarantulas to the cats who supervise.

The Menagerie Wellness Index

A score that means something.

Built on the Five Domains model — the animal welfare framework used in zoos and veterinary science — the Wellness Index reads your care logs and sensor data to show how each animal is actually doing. Not a streak counter. A welfare instrument.

Wellness Index · Waffles

i.

Nutrition

Feeding frequency against species norms, feeding response, weight trend. A tarantula fasting three weeks is normal. A tegu isn't.

ii.

Environment

Temperature gradients, humidity, UVB age, photoperiod — with continuous sensor data weighted above manual logs.

iii.

Health

Shed and molt quality, waste consistency, medication compliance, body condition. A clean shed says a lot.

iv.

Behavior

Activity, enrichment, sightings, seasonal patterns — weighted for what's natural per species. Hiding isn't penalized.

Built for the way keepers actually keep

Tracks things you never thought to track.

Sensors that log for you

Govee and SwitchBot integration streams temperature and humidity straight into each enclosure's record. No more clipboard checks.

Sky stamps on every log

Moon phase, barometric pressure, and geomagnetic activity recorded automatically. Patterns you'd never catch by hand.

Living terrariums

Bioactive enclosures tracked as ecosystems — establishment phases, seasons, provisions, plants, and the microfauna underneath it all.

The whole household

Share care with family and petsitters. Everyone logs to the same record, every animal stays covered.

Every species

Reptiles, arachnids, myriapods, amphibians, mammals — species-aware care logic for each. One app for the entire collection.

Citizen science

Opt in to contribute anonymized care data to the first longitudinal welfare dataset for captive exotic species.

"I started tracking my tegu. Then my boa, my tarantula, my cats, my millipede. So I built something that could handle all of them — and it turned out pretty cool."
